Aunt Ruby was a no nonsense, hard working woman that was known for her delicious food -from wholesome Sunday dinners to deep fried chicken, fish and the works. The whole neighborhood experienced her cooking first hand as she would prepare and sell these delicious Sunday dinners. as well as other dishes throughout the week.
When I was a kid I would tell her, "Aunt Ruby, someday I am going to buy you a restaurant and name it Aunt Ruby's Kitchen." Unfortunately, before that opportunity presented itself my Aunt Ruby fell ill and passed away. Over the years that desire remained to fulfill that promise to her. Finally, that day came and I had the opportunity to make that happen. Despite the fact that she is no longer with us, her recipes and seasonings still are. The mission of Aunt Ruby's Kitchen is to let her authentic recipes and southern style of cooking be experienced and shared with the world.
